HTC announced on Tuesday that it would delay the release of HTC Vive till next April. It was supposed to be launched before this Christmas according to its schedule.

If you plan to buy this HTC Vive during Christmas holiday, you need to wait for much longer time as the Santa Claus will come late.

According to its statement, HTC Vive will come 4 months later than its scheduled plan. It wrote on its official website that :” we will offer HTC Vive for large-scale content creator and cooperative partners. We still focus on offering better experience for the launch of HTC Vivv.”

HTC announced to cooperate with game company Valve to launch HTC Vive together in this March. The postponement of HTC Vive release indicates that it takes longer time to make Virtual Reality Technology come to real life.

So far, only Google and Samsung released their own virtual reality helmet products. Oculus Rift, Sony PlayStation VR and HTC Vive will be released until next year.

It is unclearn their release dates and prices so far. What we knew is that they focus on high end Virtual Reality games and videos application.

Even though there are not many details about those devices, they attract many fans and manufacturers to study them. It is said that Hulu and Netflix plan to team up for those devices. Microsoft,Harmonix and Sony prepare for providing VR games for those devices.

HTC plans to offer 7,000 specimen for publishers before HTC Vive will be released by next April.
