Apple just announced its 4Q earnings report, showing its hardware products suffered different levels decrease. Its market value decreased, losing the worldwide No.1 with market value. The No.1 with market value went to Alphabet.

9to5mac reported that Apple sets its Spring Product Release Conference on March 15. This news made a great hit and was quotated by worldwidw medium.

It was rumored that the release conference would be held on March 14. 9to5mac pointed out it might have changes for the release date as there are still weeks waiting.

Apple will release new important products on this conference since last Spring Forward. This conference is similar with its last autumn product release conference. Apple is supposed to introduce three major products.

The medium reported that Apple would introduce iPhone 5se. It is installed with A9 precessor, upgraded camera and compatible with Live Photo feature. It equips with NFC chip to support the Apple Pay as well. It is reported that the selling price of iPhone 5se is similar with iPhone 5s.

The second product that Apple might introduce is iPad Air 3. Apple upgraded one more for this 9.7-inch ipad since the autum conference of 2014. This product will equip with some features and settings of iPad Pro, such as applying new data interface and better speaker performance.

The Q4 earnings report showed that the sales volume of Apple iPad decreased by 25%. Its 13-inch business iPad that introduced in Q4 did not stop the declining.

The third product will be the upgraded Apple Watch. The news reported that the new Apple Watch will support the latest watch strap and inner software system.

Apple Watch obtained some certain market share in the wearable market. But the comments from this industry and consumers seem unsatisfaction. Hope Apple could enhance the performance for its next generation of Apple Watch as Apple relies much on the smartphone business.

Yahoo CEO released the company cost-cutting plan recently, including dis-mission of 15% workforce. It will dismiss 1,600 employees and close down several subsidiaries.

The Wall Street Journal reported that such plan is estimated to carry out after it announces the Q4 earnings report. It is unclear which subsidiaries will be closed down so far. Yahoo spokesman claimed that the company won’t make any comment on this news before the earnings report is announced.

The activist investors wrote to Yahoo last month to urge Yahoo CEO Mayer and its leading group to enhance the expectation of agent outlooks. The letter implied Mayer and her group should resign.

It is not confirmed whether the dimission news that Mayer released could meet the investors’ requirements. Yahoo might attract more purchasers after it carries out the cost-cutting plan.

Verizon CEO Fran Shammo claimed in last December if Yahoo wished to sell its business, American Telco Inc was willing to acquire it.

By June 30, 2015, Yahoo had 11,000 employees. On December 31, 2014, it counted it had 12,500 employees, including full-time employees and casual employees.

Microsoft released its Q2 earnings report of 2016. It is worth noting that its Lumia sales performance. The earnings report showed that Lumia devices were only sold 4.5 million units in Q4 2015. Its revenue declined by 49% (YOY).

The worldwide phone sales volume was 399.5 million units, among them Windows Phone accounts for 1.1 %. The global market share of Windows Phone decreased to 1.9%.

It might be a bit early to say Microsoft is working on the Surface Phone project by judging from the acquisition of SurfacePhone.com. It might consider the protection of itself and its products in case its rivals to avail of its popularity.

Besides SurfacePhone.com, Microsoft also acquired SurfaceCar.com. There is no sign that Microsoft plans to launch cars so far.

Facebook revealed this news in a document that submitted to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Sandeberg donate 290,000 shares that valued at $31 million for charity.

Sandberg is not only a senior executive of Facebook but also a popular female business leader in U.S. She motivated the females career in technology industry and published several books concerns female development.

It is reported that she sold the shares dated on November 20,2015. Facebook has just confirmed this news today.

She plans to establish the Sandberg charity fund to transfer the sum of selling the mentioned shares in the near future. Her fund plans to aid several charity events.

Sandberg will avail a great partial money to female rights organizations, including Lean In organization that she established. She will also donate the money to the educational institutions and projects that aims to help the poor.

Apple launched iAd six years ago. There are reports indicating that Apple will give up the profitability of iAd. The content providers will earn bread by promoting ads on this platform. Apple will not charge 30% of earning as commission any more.

The latest report showed Google self-driving car encountered 272 faults from 2014 to November, 2015. There would be 13 accidents caused without drivers assistance during the test.

According to the document that submitted to California DMV, all of the approved companies that test self-driving cars should report the every detail of accidents. The drivers can assist to fix the faults during the accident occurs.

There are 49 self-driving cars testing in California in the past 14 months, including Google Koala and refitted Lexus RX450s.

Those self-driving cars finished the test with 424,000 miles. There were 341 accidents in total. When the accidents occurred, the self-driving car could let the driver to take control or the drivers interpose the driving.

Google self-driving cars encountered 272 faults which involved in several component problems during the test, such as sensor reading errors, veer and brake system. When they encountered such component problems, the vehicle will produce voice or visible signals to warm the drivers to check.

In most cases, the self-driving cars can fix the faults by themselves instead of the intervention of drivers. Google only reported some of the accidents to the California government.

John Simpson, chief of private project from Consumer Watchdog said:” It is right that DMV demands those companies submit the accident details as it puts safety in the top place. Google reported there were 272 faults in 15 months and the drivers were forced to interpose 69 times. How could Google promote its self-driving cars without steering wheel, brake and driver? ”

VW, Audi, Benz, Google, Delphi Automotive, Tesla, Bosch and Nissan were demanded to submit their accident reports with details by Jan 1st, 2016. So far, only Google revealed its details.
