According to the confirmed information, PPTV employees received an appointed email that appointing Mi Xin as PPTV’s new CEO. However, PPTV doesn’t confirm this news yet.

Mi Xin worked as the vice manager of CIBN(Beijing) and was responsible for networking TV business operation before he joined PPTV.

It is reported that Mi Xin will be in charge of PPTV’s daily operation management, including video business, copyright purchase, OTT and gaming business.

What is more, the email announced PPTV appointed Fan Zhijun as the chairman of Management Committee. He is in charge of resource sharing between the group and PPTV, work butting and management of important decisions. He is also responsible for PPTV sports, human resource, finance, external contact work and project management.

Zhang Xun was appointed as the vice president, responsible for operating management of PPTV sports.

Mi Xin also works as the president of PPTV. This is the third time that PPTV appointed new CEO after Suning became its shareholder.

Suning announced to invest PPTV with Lenovo at $420 milliom in October, 2013. Its former CEO Tao Chuang and some other senior managers left PPTV in March, 2014.

Suning claimed that PPTV board of directors appointed Fan Zhijun as chairman of Management Committee, acting on CEO’s behalf in November 25, 2014.

Suning announced in November that Sunning Commerce Group would transfer PPTV 68.08 % of share ownership to Suning Culture. Fan Zhijun said it would benefit both Suning and PPTV to split up. It will encourage the reorganization of retailed, cultural and creative industry.
