YouTube sponsored original episodes will be released for subscribers this month

To attract more trial users to turn into subscribers, YouTube will release the first around sponsored original episodes on Feb. 10.

The original episodes are including three files and a series of Adventure episodes, such as Scare PewDiePie and A trip to Unicorn Island. They are starred by respectively Pew DiePie and Lilly Singh.

Pew DiePie has 42 million fans on YouTube, while Lilly Singh has 8 million fans. The mentioned original episodes are only available for subscribers on YouTube Red. They might be introduced to international subscribers in the near future.

YouTube introduced the subscribed service YouTube Red on last October 28. Since the subscribed service was released, it helped the Alphabet to obtain more profit via internet entertainment content. The service enhances the comptitition with Netflix.

YouTube Red charges subscribers $9.99 per month for subscrition. Even though the users can watch online videos for free, but they are not able to download the videos and bothered by ads. Google are persuading users to subscrib this service to watch ads-free videos. What’s more, the subscribers are allowed to download the videos so that they could enjoy them offline.

YouTube’s revenue is an important element for the success o Alphabet. Pew DiePie that YouTube trained has a lots of fans. It is easier to promote its original episodes and attract users to be subscribers. YouTube also make full use of original contents to attract the potential subscribers as Netflix and Amazon did.
